In 1988, Peter‘s life took an exciting turn when he was awarded a scholarship to study drama at the prestigious Budapest Academy of Drama and Film in Hungary. Interestingly, this journey also connected him to his parents’native homeland, adding a rich cultural dimension to his artistic pursuits.
Peter Linka dedicated several years to the Madách Theatre Company in Budapest, where he honed his craft as an actor. Additionally, he played a pivotal role as a founding member of the Merlin Theatre, a groundbreaking institution in Budapest, renowned for being the city’s first English-language theater.
Peter‘s journey in the world of film and television acting began in 1991, marking the inception of his vibrant career. He gained recognition for his portrayal as the CIA Polygraph opposite Brad Pitt in “Spy Game,” a film directed by Tony Scott. His portrayal of Dr. Lewis opposite Adrien Brody in the TV mini-series “Houdini” earned him further notoriety. Additionally, Peter is recognized for his role as the WHO Cistern Agent in “Inferno”, a film directed by Ron Howard, and for his role as the NASA Telemetry Chief in “The Martian”, a film directed by Ridley Scott.
Peter has a diverse portfolio of experience, having contributed to numerous American feature films, international co-productions, and European cinematic endeavors.
